HISTORIC WEAPON FIRING DEMONSTRATIONS AT CASTILLO DE SAN MARCOS

Have a blast at St. Augustine's Castillo de San Marcos when authentically-clad re-enactors demonstrate how Spain's famed artillerymen fired their cannons in the 1740's. The cannons will roar at 10:30 & 11:30 a.m., 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 11:00 a.m., 1:30, 2:30, & 3:30 p.m. on Sundays. 16TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOUR OF BED AND BREAKFAST INNS

CASTILLO DE SAN MARCOS HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

Experience a torch lit living history presentation of that will depict the different time periods of the Castillo de San Marcos. This presentation will cover Spanish, British, Colonial, Native American, territorial, Civil War, Victorian, Spanish American War, World Wars military and civilians. At 6 p.m. the Annual Holiday Regatta of Lights will begin with the celebratory cannon firing from the Castillo. The Castillo will be open to the public from 6:30 to 9 p.m. where visitors can view the Regatta as well as St. Augustine's Nights of Lights from the Castillo's Gun Decks. The Castillo de San Marcos is located on St. Augustine's Bayfront. Admission is free.
